Alan J. Hess has 37 years of employee benefit consulting
experience. He helps clients by developing a variety of employee
benefit plans--from traditional fully insured medical plans to
self-insured medical plans, flexible benefit programs and
pension plans. For many clients, Alan plays an instrumental role
in designing the total benefits strategy.
Before starting his own firm in 1990, Alan spent five years with
William M. Mercer, Inc. in Albuquerque and eight years with
Johnson & Higgins, Inc. in Philadelphia as an employee benefit
consultant. Prior to his consulting experience, Alan spent five
years with Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association in New
Alan earned a B.S. degree in Finance at Pennsylvania State
University and an MBA from Pace University in New York. He has
also earned the professional designation of Certified Employee
Benefit Specialist (CEBS) which is co-sponsored by the
International Foundation of Employee Benefits and the Wharton
School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a member of
the National Association of Health Insurance Underwriters.
Andre Pecasting has been in the customer service field
since 1991. His professional objective is to assist in the
initial cost and benefit analysis for a client to provide a
clear and concise summary of their benefit plans. This sets the
stage for the client to choose an affordable, yet balanced
Andre’s professional capabilities include advanced skills such
as: Website and Graphic Design. This capability allows for the implementation of
customized Employee Benefit websites for clients interested in effectively
communicating their benefit program to their employees.
Andre is a graduate of the University of New Mexico, with a
double Bachelor of Arts Degree. Before his appointment with the
Employee Benefit Service Center in 2001, he was an annuity
specialist with John Hancock Financial Services. Andre is a
licensed life and health insurance specialist. He is also a
member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and a
graduate of the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce’s
Leadership Albuquerque, Class of 2004.
