Employee Benefit Service
Center specializes in
assisting employers with implementing and maintaining all types
of Employee Benefit Plans. The following is a brief summary of
our services:
GROUP INSURANCE SERVICES
Employee Benefit
Service Center
works with each client to develop the plan design that
reflects the employer’s principles and meets the needs of the
employees. This includes medical, dental, vision, life,
disability and long term care plans. Voluntary benefit programs
are also designed to help meet employee needs.
Plan funding is a critical part of managing group insurance
plans. We assist clients with a market survey to determine the
most cost-effective providers for their plan. For larger plans,
we specialize in self-funding medical plans with creative
combinations of plan design, claims administration, provider
networks and stop-loss coverage.
SECTION 125 FLEXIBLE BENEFIT PLANS
We start with the basics. All plans with employee contributions
should have a Pre-Tax Premium Plan. We provide all of the
required documentation for implementation.
Flexible Spending Accounts are also available. Complete set-up
and administration services are available. EBSC receives claim
forms, reviews them for proper documentation, and prepares
checks for each claim. The client is notified of the amount of
funds needed for the claims processed. Upon transfer of the
funds to our disbursal account, the claim checks are released
for distribution to the employees.
CONSUMER DRIVEN HEALTH PLANS
A recent trend in employee benefit planning is the development
of Consumer Driven Health Plans. This is a change in the design
of a medical plan where the employee is asked to assume a
greater responsibility and the employer provides access to funds
to help the employees with these increased costs. There are
three types of plans that an employer can use: Medical
Reimbursement Plans, Health Reimbursement Accounts and Health
Savings Accounts.
EMPLOYEE COMMUNICATION SERVICES
Employee Benefit Statements – Customized statements can
be sent to each employee with detailed information on the
benefits they receive and the employer’s cost for the benefits.
These statements can be done once a year or set up where new
employees receive statements when they begin participation in
the plans. Statements for all employees at each location can
then be ordered on an as needed basis.
Employee Benefit Website – A Website will be designed
and maintained for your employees as a reference source to
improve communication with the employees and their families. It
would include basic information on the benefit plans as well as
enrollment forms that can be downloaded, personnel policy
manuals, and space for employee announcements. Links to your
provider’s Websites will also be available. This feature will
help employees find in-network providers, research prescription
formularies and access additional information on their coverage.
Information on the pension plan can be included on your Website.
Links to your plan’s website will facilitate access to complete
employee benefit information. The website is the primary tool
to direct the employees to contact EBSC when they have questions
or claim problem. This gives us the opportunity to work direct
with your employees to help them understand and use their
benefits.
RETIREMENT PLAN OPTIONS
Plan design and plan funding are the important aspects of
pension planning. We assist clients with all types of pension
plans. The most common plan is the Profit Sharing/401(k) Plan
that allows for the greatest flexibility in employer
contributions.
The initial focus is an analysis of the costs for the employer
and the employees. These costs can have a dramatic impact on the
employee’s ability to accumulate funds for retirement. After the
plan is implemented, we specialize in employee investment
education.
